By the decision of the qualifying committee composed of: the chairman – Mariusz Smolij, members – Aldona Cisewska and Maciej Sobczak, 24 participants and 5 reserve candidates were qualified for the first stage of the 5th International Karol Lipiński Violin Competition.  We would like to thank all the violinists who applied for the pre-screening round!

Pre-screening round

More than 80 people have been registered for the pre-screening round of the 5th International Karol Lipiński Violin Competition. The members of the qualifying committee are:
– Mariusz Smolij – the artistic director of the 5th International Karol Lipinski Festival and Violin Competition and one of the jury members,
– Prof. Maciej Sobczak – Rector of the Music Academy in Gdansk,
– Aldona Cisewska – concertmaster of the I.J. Paderewski Pomeranian Philharmonic,
The committee will qualify 24 participants and 5 candidates on the reserve list on the days of 11 – 13 June. The list of the candidates qualified to participate in the 1st stage of the competition will be published on the website www.lipinski-competition.com by 17th June.
